Job Description:

As a System Administrator you will have a critical role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of all the IT daily operations. With your knowledge, expertise and skills you will implement, troubleshoot and problem solve various IT issues and will have a key role in enhancing and improving our IT Systems and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inbound support requests, triage and facilitate resolution of IT problems for internal customers
  • Manage the fleet of employee computers through monitoring, securing, updating, patching, troubleshooting, and optimizing IT Systems.
  • Configure IT systems and perform on-boarding for new employees
  • Contribute to streamlining, optimizing and simplifying employee experiences with IT Systems and tools
  • Research, install and evaluate new products and services for deployment to internal customers
  • Be the focal point for the implementation, improvement and documentation of new and existing policies, procedures and processes.
  • Maintain inventory and assist with asset procurement, delivery and shipping
  • Support with ad hoc and innovative IT projects

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role gained in a fast-paced environment 
  • Solid operational knowledge of the latest Mac, Linux OS server and desktop features, best practices and configurations
  • Good knowledge of OS concepts, Active Directory account creation and maintenance and Security Group management
  • Experience with Group Policy and automation services
  • Familiarity with Linux command line, services,  installation and system operation
  • Sound understanding of security concepts and best practices
  • Experience with scripting or reverse engineering scripts in PowerShell/Linux would be desirable
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting and network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, IP addressing, connectivity troubleshooting, cabling, etc..) would be advantageous
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills: explaining computer concepts, procedures or policies to non-technical internal customers 
  • Strong time management skills: ability to prioritize, triage and escalate in an efficient and timely manner
