Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our core back-end systems driving automated optimization of our customer applications. You will contribute to building high-scale microservice architectures that will completely automate observability, testing, and tuning of modern software stacks through the use of innovative technologies. You will join an elite team of distinguished experts in IT performance optimization, AI & machine learning, and IT architectures to revolutionize the way performance optimization of large production systems is performed.

You will interact with product management to assess customer requirements and propose new feature designs; lead feature design, estimate the complexity and brakedown the development activities. You will also actively contribute to the development of the feature writing code, providing guidance and interacting with users during demo sessions to receive feedbacks at different stages of the feature development.

As a senior member of the development team, you will also help other team members grow by sharing your experience and providing guidance during code reviews and dedicated activities.

Full-time position at the Milan/Padova office.

Responsibilities:

•  Lead feature design, estimation and implementation;
• Contribute to architectural design and reviews;
• Actively partecipate in code reviews;
• Write quality code that is easy to test, share, ship, operate, and evolve;
• Interact with users and product managers to asses feature maturity, provide demos and manage feedback;
• Foster team member growth during code reviews and dedicated knowledge-sharing activities;
• Participate in support activities providing guidance and bugfixes;
• Actively contribute and lead scrum events such as standups, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospective

Job Requirements:

The candidate must have:

• 3+ Years of experience as a Software Engineer;
• Experience in writing Java and Python code;
• Experience in using CI/CD, automation tools (e.g. ansible), testing frameworks;
• Deep understanding of Software Engineering principles (e.g. design patterns, code quality indicators, agile principles);
• Hands-on experience on Kubernetes and AWS.

The candidate should preferably have experience with the following technologies:

• Spring ecosystem;
• REST APIs;
• PostgreSQL;
• Elasticsearch;
• Gitlab CI;
• Kong;
• Keycloak.

Other plus are knowledge of performance engineering principles and machine learning.
